Terms of Service (FaithLens)

By accessing or using FaithLens (“the App”), you agree to these Terms.
1) What FaithLens Does
FaithLens provides educational, comparative content that may discuss how Judaism, Christianity, and Islam approach theological, historical, ethical, and cultural questions. Content may include summaries, interpretations, and references to religious texts and traditions.
2) Educational Use Only (Not Religious, Legal, or Medical Advice)
FaithLens is not a substitute for guidance from qualified religious leaders (e.g., rabbis, priests/pastors, imams), or professional counseling, medical advice, or legal advice. You are responsible for how you use the information. If you need authoritative guidance, consult a qualified professional or clergy member.
3) Respectful Interfaith Conduct
You agree not to use the App to harass, threaten, or demean individuals or groups based on religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, gender, sexuality, or other protected traits; promote hatred, violence, or extremist ideology; submit unlawful, defamatory, or obscene content; or attempt to generate insulting or inflammatory religious content. We may limit access or remove content that violates these rules.
4) Nature of Religious Content (Differences & Disagreement)
Religious questions often have multiple interpretations within each tradition (e.g., different schools, denominations, scholars). FaithLens may present simplified comparisons and may not reflect every viewpoint. You acknowledge that content may be incomplete, generalized, or contested; translations and interpretations can vary; and the App may make mistakes.
5) User Submissions
If the App allows you to submit questions or other materials (“User Content”), you represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate these Terms. You grant FaithLens a non-exclusive license to use User Content to operate and improve the App (for example, to process your question and generate a response).
6) Safety, Moderation, and Availability
We may update or change features at any time; moderate content and restrict usage to protect users and the service; and suspend or terminate access for violations or misuse. We try to keep the App available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
7) Intellectual Property
The App, its design, branding, and original materials are owned by FaithLens or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the App except as permitted by law.
8) Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FaithLens will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App.
10) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.
